Glen Coe
Aonach Eagach ridge
Glen Coe is arguably the most famous glen in Scotland. Movies like Braveheart and Skyfall were filmed here and it has a very interesting history. It is also a walkers and climbers paradise!
For hillwalkers there are several good routes on the Bidean nam Bian (1150 m) massif which forms a complex Y-shaped hill with several lesser tops, including Stob Coire Sgreamhach (1072 m) which also has Munro status. One attractive way in to these tops ascends from the Pass of Glen Coe up along the Lost Valley to the ridge. Both Buachaille Etive Beag (958 m) and Buachaille Etive Mòr (1022 m) also offer opportunities to hillwalkers. Or how about a day of walking and scrambling on the Aonach Eagach ridge?
Guided walks in Glen Coe start from £50pp.

The Ring of Steall
Ring of Steall in Glen Nevis.
The Ring of Steall route combines the traverse of four Munros: An Gearanach, Stob Choire a Chairn, Am Bodach and then the Devils Ridge to Sgurr a'Mhaim. There is a well defined path along most of the route, but there are sections where easy scrambling along narrow, rocky aretes is required.
The route starts at the car park at the end of the Glen Nevis road. From there you walk through Steall Gorge to the valley where you will see Steall Falls, a beautiful waterfall. From there the climb begins....
The whole route is about 10 miles (16 km) and will take between 9-12 hours. A long, potentially exhausting day..... but it's worth it!
